About Us

The Historic Hiller HouseKeep Victoria Beautiful (KVB), is a 501(c)(3) organization to promote the Keep Texas Beautiful program of litter prevention, beautification and community improvment and minimization of the impact of solid waste in the City and County of Victoria, Texas.

KVB accomplishes this mission by our projects including:

  • Completion of the restoration of the historic Hiller house and management of the Athey Nature Area, the offices of Keep Victoria Beautiful
  • Three annual neighborhood Clean Sweeps in underserved Victoria neighborhoods to beautify and reduce crime
  • Construction of a “Welcome to Victoria” entryway sign at a major point of entry into the City to build community pride
  • A monthly business beautification award for those doing their part to Keep Victoria Beautiful
  • Adopt a Spot and Street programs for local businesses and organizations to beautify our streets and parks and increase community pride and personal responsibility for the appearance of the community
  • Volunteer events for litter control, illegal dumping that results in about 30 tons of litter removal each year from Victoria County

The heart of KVB is its volunteers and financial supporters. For every dollar invested in KVB people and projects, the return on investment is $12.91 (based on 2009 data) thanks to our volunteers and in-kind supporters!

KVB promotes personal responsibility through the Adopt a Spot or Adopt a Street programs. Spots and streets are available all over town!
